gran canaria pt. número tres

It has become an ever so small and nice tradition to travel to Granca in January. When the dark season is at its darkest. And the temperature at its lowest. Then, the travel fever is surely at its highest!

Last year we found many local favorites on this popular island – and explored the island beyond the famous beach bars on the charter-south tip. The list is still long; mountain tours we want to go, meals we want to taste, nooks and crannies we want to see.

This time however, the main focus was feeling the sand between our toes, splashing in the water’s edge, relax and spend time on junior’s premises. An absolutely perfect plan!

Amadores beach has always been a favorite. It has comfortable beds (as comfortable sunbeds on budget can be) and a lot of food and beverage to offer. But, its always crowded. And for that reason, we looked around to extend our horizont. The close by alternatives does not have the same comfort level, but a lot less people and noise. Tauro Beach, Playa del Cura and my new favorite Taurito beach with some exiting caves to explore. Plenty of space to build a sand castle or jump into the waves. ♥♥♥

♥ Lunch break in Puerto de Mogan, yes please!
